Pelvic floor physical therapy

No matter your age, your pelvic floor is thanking you right now for giving it the love and care that it deserves. The pelvic floor is the connection between our Root and Sacral chakras where our Safety and Connection to others is housed. Whether there has been any direct trauma or injury to the area, we feel our stress in the pelvic floor. So Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy is truly for everyone because we have all some element of stress in our lives, and yes, we all have a pelvic floor.
From young women to Mamas who just birthed a baby or have grown babies who are now adults: having a PF evaluation is critical if you are experiencing any of the following:
~stress incontinence (leaking urine with sneezing, jumping, etc.)
~urge incontinence (strong need to use the bathroom suddenly and urgently)
~pelvic pain
~pain with sex
~Pelvic Floor Organ Prolapse (POP)
~hypertonic pelvic floor, aka a tight pelvic floor
~constipation
~frequent urination
~recurrent UTIs
~diastasis ("splitting of abs")
~difficulty getting pregnant
~endometriosis
~PCOS
Every evaluation is 90 min to allow for plenty of un-rushed time to talk and get to know your health history. Treatment is dependent on what we find and what we decide together, as patient and practitioner. Overall, my approach to all my PT clients, no matter the cause or symptom, is as a mind-body-spirit holistic process.
